Since I'm obviously pretty terrible at updating, you'll just have to excuse my inconsistency. It's just gonna happen. I wish I could share some of my work designs, but they are, unfortunately, confidential. If I ever see any of the bags out I will post photos, though!

That being said, it's now time to post some updates of the last 6 months.

October was the final appreciation month the EIC held before being disbanded. I was planning on relinquishing the reigns, anyway, so it wasn't that big of a blow, but I was disappointed that no one else was willing to step up and help out w...

September's appreciation month includes my department! Yay! After staying at Cabana Bay Beach Resort on the best vacation ever, I was totally feeling the whole 1950s/60s advertising vibe. :)

Probably my favorite so far!

Nothing says summer like the beach!

The EIC was entrusted with the responsibility to organize this year's company cookout... so initially we wanted to have the event here at our plant, in an upper parking lot. This infographic was our attempt to entice management to allow the event to be here.

It didn't work... lolol. Our cookout turned out great, though- we found a wonderful venue with lots of space and activities!

Our EIC had another raffle in July- this time to win a grill:

Unfortunately, this one looked much better on screen than in print. Not enough contrast, I suppose. Oh well! I still like it!

My first year of work was relatively calm, but now that I'm working on year two, it seems all hell has broken loose! We have been ridiculously busy: on average I'm knocking out 6 - 8 jobs a day (compared to 2 or 3 the first year). Therefore, keeping updated on my current projects has taken a back seat.

Over the next few posts, I'll share some of the miscellaneous projects I've been working on.

First up will be the June Appreciation Month poster:

I'm not quite sure how it happened, but the EIC here at work was tasked on managing the company garden this year. I don't really eat vegetables (that's why they make gummy vitamins, right?), so I don't have a ton of experience in gardening. The past couple of years I did have my own tiny garden at home (think less than 4'x4' off the corner of my patio) and I grew cucumbers and tomatoes, mostly just to see if I could. And I could. My whole INTJ personality thought process is all "Success. Move on to new task. No need to garden anymore." ... But, a job is a job, and I also really like to...

This month's appreciation poster has a fun Cinco de Mayo theme! People finally seem to be noticing the efforts the EIC is making... so hopefully they'll come around and start actually appreciating each other. Baby steps, though, right?

 If you ever need cute free vector graphics like these on the fly, check out vecteezy.com. Seriously saves me tons of time (because there's no need to reinvent the wheel, as they say).

Last month my Employee Involvement Committee focused on showing love to the press department... with cupcakes! Not much, we realize, but right now it's something small we can do to encourage other departments. We've designated April as Conversion/Repro Appreciation Month... and I designed a big ol' poster to hang in the break room to let everyone know! {We didn't have our act together enough to create a poster for Press... but we're getting better.}

I thought I'd go for a comic book theme this month. I can't wait to create the rest of the months! I've already decided what each month's th...
