A few of weeks ago I hosted a Ladies' Tea Party at my church. I figured it was time for all the women (who work behind the scenes, who cook, who clean, who serve without complaint) to have a special event just for them!

 (This is the slide that ran during the announcements on Sunday mornings & Wednesday nights)

It turned out beautifully! I got a bit carried away - but planning parties is apparently my favorite thing ever, so how could I not? I found tons of awesome, dainty vintage tea cups and saucers at my local antique stores (shout out to Blue Ridge Antique Center and Willow Tree...

Last month my Employee Involvement Committee focused on showing love to the press department... with cupcakes! Not much, we realize, but right now it's something small we can do to encourage other departments. We've designated April as Conversion/Repro Appreciation Month... and I designed a big ol' poster to hang in the break room to let everyone know! {We didn't have our act together enough to create a poster for Press... but we're getting better.}

My Employee Involvement Committee at work just finished up our first raffle. Our committee was created to provide a way for employees to encourage one another and to make our company a more pleasant workplace. We're keeping it pretty simple right now... The raffle was a big hit and we raised over $700! Pretty cool, since we really had no idea what to expect, participation wise.

I created these fun little flexography themed icons to go along with our different departments at work! I scoured the internet to try to find some I could use for a miscellaneous side project here at work, but came up empty handed, so I decided I would make my own. I'm sure a couple of them may not make sense to anyone outside of the industry, but anyone can appreciate a fun design! {And no, that's not a roll of toilet paper! :P}

If for some random reason you would like a vector version of these little lovelies, just let me know.

For our centennial, the Ladies' Fellowship at church decided to create a cookbook to sell, and they asked me to design the cover! :) I decided to stick with a traditional look, paired with the centennial logo and font. I love it! I found a nice quality image of actual red gingham fabric to use for the background; I think the texture provides a softer, more worn-in feel.

What do you think?
