Sometime last year (maybe early summer?) I created a new Henry Fork Church of the Brethren shirt for people in the congregation to purchase to wear when we are volunteering and are out-and-about in our community. This is just the sample image, but the real thing turned out great!

The principal at BCES, where I used to work, asked me to submit some designs for his teenage daughter's softball team last fall. They didn't use any of my designs, but it was still a fun little project to work on, and I am really happy with how they turned out!

I created the website for my church just over a year ago, and with that came the creation of a logo. I utilized the official Church of the Brethren logo into my design, and I basically just nestled our name into the current logo. 2017 marks our 100th year, and I wanted to create something special to commemorate the event, and to unify all our centennial celebrations throughout the upcoming year!

Behold:

We've been using it on our website and during the announcements on screen during our services since the first of the year. I love it! There are, of course, plain black & white versions, a...

My amazingly talented boyfriend is an auto upholsterer by trade, and he has been asking me a while now to design a logo for his side business.

I had tons of fun learning a few new techniques and working on this bad boy, but it's not quite what he's got in mind, so you'll be seeing Elite Auto Upholstery, Take 2 not too long from now.

I love it, even if it never will see the light of day! :P

A friend of my boss's from college recently contacted him to potentially design a logo for her new law firm in California, and he referred her to me! :)

This lady is quite impressive! (You can check out her brand new website here.) Her goal is to empower women through her work in the legal field to promote women business.

We went through a lot of designs before she decided on exactly what she was looking for, but after a couple of weeks we finalized the design.

Below are many of the designs I created for the project, along with potential color combinations, and the designs on the bottom...

The VP at my company asked me to design a little label for the handmade guitar he built! How cool is that? Hmm... I wonder if I could build my own ukulele...

Anyway, I thought since he was looking for a vintage style label, I'd try my hand at a little hand lettering (for the logo only- the rest is digital). He graciously trusted my judgement and let me choose my favorite of my designs to use; and after numerous attempts (and multiple digital tweaks), here is what I settled on:

I think it turned out nearly as awesome as the guitar itself! :P Though seriously- how cool is it to build...

So, this definitely isn't going to be our final logo/business card/price tag, but I just love it, so I'm going to post it, anyway.

Why do I love it so much? Because I glued actual string to a cardboard box, took a photo of it, worked a little photoshop magic, and voila! Unfortunately, it looks way better digital than printed, so it's not as versatile as it needs to be for the long run. It works for us now, though!

I honestly have a difficult time with self promotion, even on my own website! I am truly pleased with how these digital prints have turned out, though, I can't help but show them off. :) They're only $10 each on Etsy.

As of right now, there are 30 different hymns:

10,000 Reasons

All Creatures Of Our God And King

All Hail The Power Of Jesus' Name

Amazing Grace

At The Cross

Blessed Assurance

Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing

Have Thine Own Way Lord

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty

How Great Thou Art

I Need Thee Every Hour

I'll Fly Away

In Christ Alone

It Is Well With My Soul

Jesus Paid It All

Just As I...

Ah, the life of an artist. Not quite as glamorous as I dreamt... but not too shabby, either! In my absence, I have created a series of prints available on Etsy of some of my favorite hymns. I also had one of each printed for our craft shows (which my sisters and I have participated in twice, so far). Here's a picture from our first event:

Though we had tons of fun selling our stuff, I think we had way more fun making it all! We were super pleased with our results, considering we had no clue what to expect, or to prepare for. It was pretty cool - we were even asked by a couple of people...
